“Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2” effortlessly continues the enticing comedy presented by Sony Pictures Animation. Following Inventor Flint Lockwood's triumph in destroying his infamous invention—a machine that transformed water into food, resulting in cheeseburger rain and spaghetti tornadoes—it becomes clear that the invention miraculously survived. The machine is now creating food-animals known as "foodimals!" Flint and his friends courageously embark on a mission to vanquish hungry tacodiles, shrimpanzees, hippotatomuses, cheespiders, and other foodimals, once again saving the world! This film is directed by Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn, with Erica Rivinoja and John Francis Daley & Jonathan Goldstein as screenwriters. The story is inspired by Phil Lord & Christopher Miller's work, along with Erica Rivinoja's contribution. It is based on the original book Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs written by Judi Barrett and illustrated by Ron Barrett. The production is led by Pam Marsden and Kirk Bodyfelt.
